Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor Yooka-Laylee might seem like a strictly solo affair, but it turns out that along with the various collectibles scattered about, there are eight multiplayer mini-games waiting to be uncovered. In addition to the PvP multiplayer modes, players can work together in a co-op version of the main story.
Find and collect special play coins in Yooka-Laylee's single-player campaign, and you can also power up arcade cabinets in the book worlds to win additional pagies that unlock more of the world. They can also stop some traps when the main team needs help crossing a tricky obstacle.
For a sort of cooperative play, a second player will be able to plug in a controller and take over the "Bee Team". Playtonic Games and Team17 relayed the information in a press release last night embargoed for this morning. These are just some of the exciting games you can expect to find in Rextro's Arcade.
Gearbox CEO says 'Borderlands 3' isn't coming to the Nintendo Switch
You can also play while charging. "You've got a thousand-game library available on Nintendo 3DS, plus some key new ones coming". Personally, I think it's an effective commercial that shows off the basic functionality of the Switch.
While the game's multiplayer features are limited to local multiplayer only, there's plenty of content to dig into with a friend. The game features 8 couch multiplayer mini games on top of the full game, making it a rather nice package. The arcade games will support up to four players in local co-op, and include arena brawler Glaciators; Gun-let Run, a shooter; and arcade racer Kartos Karting.
