Melania Trump's friends say 'she is miserable' being first lady

Speculation about Melania Trump's willingness to take on the first lady role ramped up following the revelation she would stay in NY with the couple's son, Barron, so he could finish out the school year.

First Lady Melania Trump reportedly doesn't love her new role, according to multiple sources. Facing legal battles, outfit critiques, nasty gossip, scathing impersonations, and political attacks, it's not surprising that anonymous US Magazine sources (take that with however many grains of salt you want, although US skews towards reliability) are saying that "Melania is unhappy with how her life ended up". Melania Trump has had comedians and celebrities make fun of her and designers refusing to dress her and it seems as though the first lady is receiving more than she bargained for. "It was Donald's", family friend and Melania's stylist Phillip Bloch tells US Weekly. "It was Donald's. Truthfully, it's a lot to cope with". Not even outgoing former first lady, Michelle Obama could hide her chagrin with the incoming Trumps. "I think she's a great representative for this country".

"Don't let [Melania's] smile in those photos fool you", the family source said of the pictures of Melania's outing with Akie.

Trump delivered in his remarks in an epic White House press briefing in which he did not play Teleprompter Trump, his disgusting alter-ego, but instead played himself - easy and breezy and willing to answer anything asked of him, however antagonistic.

There has been a flurry of support and sympathy for the 46-year-old following a meme showing her smiling broadly at her husband during his inauguration and then looking downcast as soon as he turns away.

The tabloid has since retracted but a suit is still in the air after Melania claimed the article led to her forfeiting commercial opportunities as the new first lady.

But the First Lady recently gained an unexpected cheerleader when model Emily Ratajkowski spoke out to defend Melania over claims of "slut shaming".

"Melania has the Secret Service take Barron to school and retrieve him", the source explained.

"They're not doing this for money, they're not doing this for pay, they're doing this because they feel it, both of them", Trump said.
