In the past, Church has tried things like paperless ticketing and better screening his fan club purchases since high-end seats are often available there first.
Church and his team are in the process of developing a system to identify scalpers that with luck, could become an industry standard.
"Throughout the Holdin' My Own Tour, Eric and his team have systematically identified, cancelled and released tickets back to the public that were identified as scalper tickets", the website said.
The bad news is, if you have already bought tickets through a third party (in other words, through anyone besides Ticketmaster or the Amalie Arena box office), they may not be valid anymore.
Irish woman charged with murder after stabbing in Australia
A woman has been charged with murder after an Irish man was stabbed to death outside a home in western Sydney. After the stabbing a 25-year-old Irish woman, Cathrina Cahill, known as Tina, was arrested and questioned.
"They buy thousands of tickets across the US, not just mine, and they end up making a fortune", Church said in an interview with Associated Press.
The "Mr. Misunderstood" singer says, "scalpers use fake credit cards, fake id's". Previously purchased tickets for his tour stops in Canada, which start Feb 28 in Ontario, have already been released and more tickets for his shows in Washington and OR will go on sale on February 27.
Church said fans should avoid secondary market ticket purchases for the remaining shows because it's likely the tickets will be invalid by the time the show happens, cmt.com said. "You come at us, we're going to go after you in return. Some of them don't feel the way I feel or are as passionate".
"They are not really backing it up with prosecuting these people", Church said.
Church last performed in Reading in 2012.
