Memorabilia site Moments in Time is listing the BMW as "Tupac's vehicle - an extraordinary relic".

The listing doesn't offer details on the car's history in the years since Shakur's killing.

If you recall the infamous photo, 2Pac was riding in the passenger seat with Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight (who was the driver) when the vehicle was sprayed with multiple bullets in a drive-by shooting in 1996.

Shakur, whose hits included Dear Mama and California Love, was travelling with Knight in Las Vegas when he was shot several times by a gunman in another vehicle.

The bullets hit him twice in the chest, once in the arm, and once again in the thigh.

According to Kelly Blue Book, an identical BMW with similar mileage is priced for approximately $2,578. The whip has reportedly changed owners a few times, amassing more than 90,000 miles in the process.

During his short spell in the limelight, Tupac was one of the most popular rap artists in the world. Everyone from Puff Daddy to fellow-passenger Suge Knight was accused at some point, and the still-unsolved murder gets more fascinating as time goes on, and Tupac's reputation is cemented into legend.
