Mindy Kaling's Newark diss ... and a dinner with Cory Booker? | The Auditor

Posted March 27, 2017

"Ouch!" Booker tweeted. "Heard Dr. Lahiri dissed Newark last night". Cory Booker on Twitter.

Kaling accepted Booker's offer for a dinner date, along with a flawless joke about the PATH train. He tweeted at Kaling, sending her the link of a recent Newark travel guide published by Vogue - and told her he still loved her.

On The Mindy Project, Kaling's character, confused about why Booker would attend her friend's event, quips, "I guess anything to get out of Newark", according to CNN.

Kaling, 37, replied minutes later, saying: "Senator, if Mindy Lahiri shades it, it means we know it's cool". Thanks for the [love].

John Thompson III Exits as Georgetown Coach
His affection for his players and dedication to Georgetown basketball were obvious and fierce, and that counts for something. Add in the elder Ewing playing for the legendary John Thompson, and it could be a complicated situation.

Booker, 47, then said her response was "making my day! Thanks for the clarification", he tweeted.

Next, the senator made a bold request: "And If the [love] is really mutual". I can't believe he came. "I will send one to you for the door to door", was Booker's next move. She also kind of, sort of dissed Newark, but he didn't hold that against her. At this point, it was rather clear that something was going to happen and twitter observers were already tweeting to the effect that the world was ready for a Booker-Kaling romance.

We are all excited and fans took to twitter to not only offer their support but to openly ask the couple to be serious about it because they were.
