UFC 210: Daniel Cormier threatens Jon Jones not to enter cage

Posted April 08, 2017

In most jurisdictions, a fighter is not allowed to re-weigh after missing weight on the official scale.

It's been 21 years since the UFC has held an event in Buffalo.

"Anthony has done his job as he has come up in weight classes, but we are talking about a rivalry with a guy who many consider the greatest fighter of all time". What if Johnson knocks out DC, would they have a rematch straight after? I don't know how I lost a step. He also possesses phenomenal takedown defense, although Cormier was able to bring the fight to the ground during their first encounter.

Currently No. 5 on the Pound-for-Pound Fighter Rankings, Cormier claimed the title with a third-round submission victory over Johnson at UFC 187, but circumstances have limited him to just two octagon appearances since then.

Cormier, Johnson and Jones are more than skilled enough to merit superstardom, but a large part of the fan base has shown that Jones is the only one it's willing to pay to watch fight. Cormier used his knowledge from the first fight as the "base" for training for this fight. "So wins over Jon Jones are probably going to be the one thing that solidifies where I'm trying to sit at the top of the sport". He can either respect me or not respect me, it doesn't matter.

'I want the victor of these two fighting this weekend.

Though Cormier is confident in a win, he still remains cautious toward Johnson's skill set. He's won his three fights since via knockout, the past two in 86 and 13 seconds.

Paul George turns in a big game as Pacers cruise past Toronto
When George is locked in, he shuts down his man, drills shots from all over the floor and finds his teammates for good looks. He ranks third among Pacers players and 79th in the National Basketball Association with a 2.1 nERD on the season.

Once a perennial contender in the welterweight division, Alves' career has gone sideways since his championship loss to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 100. "It was worth it", said Mr. Lausa, a champion boxer as well as a former titleholder at the Pacific Xtreme Combat (PXC), in an earlier interview with BusinessWorld.

UFC weigh-ins are usually boring affairs, but that was not the case Friday morning for UFC 210. A rematch with Rumble Johnson was also on the books for December 2016, but Cormier had to reschedule again due to an undisclosed ailment.

"I have no worries, because I know I have prepared myself".

"He better not come in my cage after I win", Cormier said.

That improvement will be Johnson's biggest asset heading into the fight, which he credits to his coaches. I put these guys away.

"But the difference is that I'm going to stand up to him, I'm not afraid of Anthony Johnson in any way, shape or form".

In the main event, Daniel Cormier defends his light heavyweight title against Anthony Johnson. The NYASC, it seems, allows championship fighters a second chance to weigh-in.
