Those players are wide receiver/running back Curtis Samuel, defensive end Daeshon Hall, cornerback Corn Elder and kicker Harrison Butker. Over his last two seasons in college, Hall had 14 sacks and over 36 tackles for loss.
Samuel joins first-round pick Christian McCaffrey as offensive additions created to expand the options for the Panthers on that side of the ball.
It's no secret that the Carolina Panthers in 2016 were completely different from the 2015 team that made it to the Super Bowl.
However, with the additions of McCaffrey and Samuel alongside mainstays Newton, Jonathan Stewart, and Greg Olsen, the Panthers have a chance to return to their offensive glory from two seasons ago and get back on track.
McCaffrey was their first selection taken with the 8th pick of the draft while Samuel was their second selection taken with the 40th pick in the draft.
Hit by NASCAR penalty, Logano says team doesn't cheat
NASCAR typically takes the race victor and a random auto or two to the R&D center for further tear down after a race. Gordon, meanwhile, said a part was about 1/32 of an inch off during the post-race inspection.
"This was a big learn day".
The fact that the Panthers guaranteed over half of McCaffrey's salary to him means he will be relied upon very heavily starting from Day 1. "That's the biggest thing is getting the plays down and once you come out here (to the field) making sure there are no questions".
Because Stanford operates on the quarter grading system, McCaffrey isn't allowed to rejoin the Panthers after this weekend until early June, according to NCAA rules.
Judging by the number of television cameras and reporters lining the sideline on Friday, McCaffrey is generating the most rookie camp excitement this organization has seen since Newton was the first pick of the 2011 draft. He was so excited about this moment that it hadn't fully sunk in that on Thursday night he became the first first-round pick of the 2017 draft to sign his rookie deal. "I looked at him in the huddle and I said man it's so good to be in a huddle with you".
