When the very first trailer for Fox's Logan dropped a year ago, it was the ad's careful use of Johnny Cash's haunting "Hurt" that suggested the movie would have an emotional weight and depth to it unlike any other X-Men flick. She not only holds her own against a giant man like Hugh Jackman yelling and swearing at her the idea of switching between Spanish and English was Keen's idea. Keen also managed to impressed Sir Patrick Stewart which is really saying something.
Dafne Keen's Logan audition tape absolutely blew away her co-star Patrick Stewart. While we don't know what's next for the character or the franchise yet, Keen obviously has an incredibly bright future ahead of her. Breakout star, 12-year-old Dafne Keen, who played the role of Laura ( X23) won many hearts with her performance.
It's hard to remember that this is a girl who was all of 11 when she auditioned for the part. It turns out, she showed that same level of ability way back in her audition tape/screen test with Hugh Jackman, even going toe-to-toe with Wolvie in an improvised version of the scene that made the final cut.

What you can see from this trailer isn't just "Oh, now the movie is monochromatic". "This is something." We agree, Jackman, she is really something!
Logan will be available on digital HD tomorrow and DVD and Blu-ray on May 23, 2017.
