Monster Hunter XX coming to Switch in Japan

Posted May 26, 2017

Monster Hunter XX has not been confirmed to make its way to the Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo Switch in America, but its predecessor, Monster Hunter Generations, did get a localization in 2016.

The announcement webpage indicates that more information will be forthcoming at the "Monster Hunter Championships 2017" event in Japan on Saturday.

So far, this is a Japan-only affair, but judging by how Capcom has handled previous Monster Hunter launches, expect to hear news about a Western release within three to six months.

Capcom is expected to reveal more details on this release very soon.

The stock would be included in the BSE 30-stock Sensex, effective June 19, according to an exchange notice on Friday. In the Europe, Paris CAC rose 0.07 per cent, while Frankfurt's up 0.04 per cent in their early deals.

The last Monster Hunter game to grace consoles was Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which came out for the Wii U in 2013.

There's no word for now on when Monster Hunter XX will land on Switch.

The second most exciting crossover is Okami, probably because it is one of my favorite games. The game is visually stunning and its extraordinary flexibility gives players the elbow room to switch between the high definition version and the original arcade graphics. If nothing else, Okami is a character worth trying out for the sake nostalgia.
