Man dies after auto crash involving Venus Williams

Tennis star Venus Williams is being blamed for a fatal vehicle crash on June 9 that left the other driver a widow, cops said.

Jerome Barson, whose wife Linda, 68, was driving the other auto, suffered head injuries and died two weeks after the June 9 smash.

Barson suffered head trauma and spent the next two weeks in ICU before succumbing to his injuries.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, the victim's wife told police that the vehicle Williams has exceeded an intersection, forcing the other driver to hit his auto.

There is no indication Williams was intoxicated or distracted by her phone, police said. "The police report said: "[Venus] is at fault for violating the right of way of [the other driver]", TMZ added.

According to the Daily Mail, this is not the first time Williams has had trouble on the road. The report says Williams was driving an estimated speed of 5 miles per hour.

Mark Arnett told CNN that according to the mother, the children were playing in a back room of their home when they disappeared. Authorities were called to the home at about 4 p.m. when the mother said she had discovered them unresponsive in the vehicle .

The cops ultimately came out against Williams, according to the report.

The news comes less than a week before Williams is expected to play at Wimbledon.
