In her 2011 book, Lady Blue Eyes: My Life With Frank, Barbara Sinatra wrote of her first meeting with her future husband when she was asked to be a tennis doubles partner with his second wife, Ava Gardner.
Sinatra, also known as "Lady Blue Eyes", was a former Las Vegas showgirl, the final wife of the late singer Frank Sinatra. They were married for 26 years until he died in 1998.
She had been ill for months and died comfortably surrounded by her family and friends at home, a director of one of her charitable foundations said.
She had a successful modeling career after she graduated from the school.
It was her third marriage, Sinatra's fourth and the most enduring union for both.
