Barbara Sinatra Dead at 90

In her 2011 book, Lady Blue Eyes: My Life With Frank, Barbara Sinatra wrote of her first meeting with her future husband when she was asked to be a tennis doubles partner with his second wife, Ava Gardner.

Barbara Sinatra passed away at her Rancho Mirage home in California on Tuesday (25Jul17).

Sinatra, also known as "Lady Blue Eyes", was a former Las Vegas showgirl, the final wife of the late singer Frank Sinatra. They were married for 26 years until he died in 1998.

She had been ill for months and died comfortably surrounded by her family and friends at home, a director of one of her charitable foundations said.

She had a successful modeling career after she graduated from the school.

It was her third marriage, Sinatra's fourth and the most enduring union for both.

"Barbara started raising funds for it in 1985 with Frank's support", Thoresen said.

She Wednesday the singing legend back in 1976, following her split from American actor Zeppo Marx. She was 90 years old.

She is survived by her son from a previous Robert Oliver Marx, his wife Hillary Roberts and her granddaughter Carina Blakeley Marx. "You worry about new ones, '", Barbara previously said. She helped found the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center in the 1980's to assist young victims of physical and sexual abuse.

Barbara and Frank Sinatra were Wednesday on July 11, 1976, and they remained married until Frank's death on May 14, 1998. The center counsels physically, sexually and emotionally abused children.
