Europe took a 2.5-1.5 edge after the morning foursomes, but it was all U.S.A.in the afternoon fourball matches.
But Sorenstam, the Hall of Fame player who served as a vice captain in the three previous Solheim Cups, is confident the underdog Europeans can hang with the US when play begins Friday at Des Moines Golf and Country Club. Capturing the first USA points in the afternoon session, Salas and Yin matched the largest margin of victory in fourball matches in Solheim Cup history.
"We want the history Sunday night". The 39-year-old posted her 19th career point on Saturday at the Solheim Cup, surpassing captain Juli Inkster's record of 18.5.
"And then we played a ideal hole on 18 to get the halve and it was very necessary".
"I know Annika (Sorenstam) is going to fire that team up and we just need to come out and keep doing what we're doing".
"I can't even tell you how much of an honor that was", said Kerr.
Google Allo's Web Client Is Now Rolling Out for Android Users
If the app isn't running on your phone or your phone isn't connected to the internet, you can't use Allo through the web app. However, Allo may not be going after the developed markets so much as it's trying to establish a foothold in emerging ones.
The only USA victory of the morning went to Lizette Salas and Danielle Kang, who narrowly defeated Carlota Ciganda and Caroline Masson 1-up. "Austin Ernst said if we can play in front of these people all the time, it would be awesome".
On Friday they ended up halving their foursomes match, but on Saturday they went from strength to strength.
Only one European, number 13 Anna Nordqvist, is ranked in the top 20 in the world, while the USA has four players - number two Thompson, as well as Kerr, Stacy Lewis and Danielle Kang.
She and Matthew took their first lead at the 16th hole, Icher sinking the short par putt to take the hole.
Ghim, the Big 12 Player of the Year at Texas, never trailed in his match with Syme, who had been on a strong run. They were on fire today but I'm hoping it's contagious and that we're on fire tomorrow.
Salas had five birdies on her scorecard through nine holes - the Unites States never trailed in the match and was 4 up at the turn - and a Yin birdie on the 12th hole proved to be the victor for Team USA.
Sorenstam said this week that she was "not so anxious about" Nordqvist, whose seventh-place tie two weeks ago in the Women's British Open confirmed her fitness.
With her win, Kerr became the leading points earner in USA's Solheim Cup history.
