Rocket League for Nintendo Switch will have Metroid and Mario Cars

Posted August 24, 2017

Available as special unlockables when Rocket League launches on Nintendo Switch, the first Battle-Cars named Mario NSR and Luigi NSR are based on the iconic Nintendo characters. A new trailer has been released to accompany the announcement showing the Battle-Cars in action; watch it below... A Wave Beam Rocket Boost is exclusive to Samus' Gunship version.

Mario and Luigi hats will be usable on any non-licensed auto, and a Super Star rocket boost can be used with the Mario and Luigi NSR cars.

Unlockable for free when the game launches, you'll be able to duke it out in a Mario NSR, a Luigi NSR and a vehicle styled after Samus' Gunship from the Metroid games. The developer is adding three new cars to Rocket League, including one for both Mario and Luigi, as well as a auto for Metroid.

The Samus' Gunship battle-car comes in two different variations for the Orange and Blue teams, and they are based on designs of Samus' Varia Suits.

Along with the new Battle-Cars, Rocket League on Switch will also have several exclusive customization items. The cars will be available for free with the Nintendo Switch version of Rocket League. You will get the former if you are on the Orange Team, and the latter if you are on the Blue Team.
