Micromax Canvas Infinity with 5.7-inch Full Vision display goes official

Posted August 25, 2017

The result of all that effort, in part, is the Micromax Canvas Infinity. While other OEMs are fighting the same battles, Micromax changed the battlefield altogether.

It is the first bezel-less smartphone to be launched by the Indian manufacturer. Pointing out that a Samsung Galaxy S8 has a screen to body ratio of 84.2 percent, Sharma says that the Infinity is offering a ratio of 83 percent.

Talking about the specialty, Canvas Infinity features 18:9 display with curved corners. Actually it's now new but it's something we should welcome because it's being offered in budget segment. Recently, Micromax launched its Evoke Dual Note smartphone at Rs 9,999.

Bharti Airtel, India's leading telecom company by users, is considering expanding its partnership with handset brands, over-the-top (OTT) players and tying up with ecommerce players in a bid to retain subscribers and counter newcomer Reliance Jio's bouquet of offerings. The USP of the device is its 18:9 display, which measures 5.77-inches across.

Micromax might have focused heavily on the design of the Canvas Infinity, but it doesn't compromise on other important aspects. Micromax Canvas Infinity ships with a 13 MP camera on the back, along with a 16 MP front camera with a front facing flash as well.

The camera mode gives you a real-time Bokeh option, allowing you to click pictures that seem to be taken in the macro mode of an SLR camera.

Injustice 2: Who Are The Three Remaining Characters?
Released in May of this year, Injustice 2 originally contained 28 playable characters. From one of the silhouettes, it looks like The Atom may be coming to our screens.

On the rear, the phone has a 13MP shooter for all your landscape and portrait shots.

We will bring you a detailed review later.

The Micromax Canvas Infinity is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 32 internal storage, expandable via microSD card, and 3 GB RAM. The phone has a removable back cover and the battery too can be pulled out. This display has minimum bezels and the company claims it is Full Vision Display.

The device supports 4G VoLTE networks and, therefore, is compatible with Reliance Jio network.

Finally, the biggest question is how much is it going to cost in India.

Canvas Infinity runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The handset will be available exclusively on Amazon India from September 1 onwards.
