3 in Associated Press Poll

Clemson and Alabama are back to being the top two teams in the country.

Alabama still has a comfortable lead atop the Amway Coaches Poll, but the gap closed a bit following No. 2 Clemson's impressive performance in Week 3.

Here's the latest edition of the Coaches' Poll top 25.


Ohio State still has the best chances of any Big Ten team, despite a Week 2 loss to Oklahoma.

Big wins from Mississippi State, San Diego State and OR launched them into this week's top 25, while Stanford fell out of the poll after their second straight loss.

USC (7/1) and Oklahoma (8/1) round out the top four in terms of odds.

Stock up: TCU. The Horned Frogs make the biggest upward move within the top 25 of the week, climbing five places to No. 15 following a victory against neighborhood rival SMU. Three Big Ten teams round out the top 10 - MI (3-0), Wisconsin (3-0) and Ohio State (2-1).

The most-watched nominee, according to the survey, is " Modern Family ", which had been seen by 56 per cent of respondents. Who will win an Emmy this year? Meanwhile, Donald Glover from Atlanta is favored to win for his much-acclaimed role.

San Diego State is ranked for the first time this season after beating then-No. Washington State 19. Louisville 20. Also falling out were Kansas State (No. 18), Tennessee (No. 23) and UCLA (No. 25).

The Sooners weren't the only Week 3 winners to lose ground in the rankings.

Florida State earned the highest rank of the four, coming in at number 12, down one spot from a week ago.

Stock down: Florida State.

FSU fell from No. 11 to No. 12 despite not playing once again due to Hurricane Irma.

The competition gets decidedly more hard for USC in Week 2, when it plays host to Pac-12 rival Stanford, which remained at No. 14 in the rankings after an easy 62-7 win over Rice at Allianz Stadium in Sydney.
