Wisconsin, a key state in the 2016 USA presidential election, said on Friday it was one of the 21 states that the federal government notified were targeted by Russian government hackers but no votes were changed. Most of the hacks were not successful, though it's not clear which states got fucked.

IN got better news, with DHS reporting it had not detected any Russian attempts to hack into the state's voter registration systems, according to Valerie Warycha, deputy chief of staff for Secretary of State Connie Lawson. In most cases, they had not known until notified Friday by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. President Donald Trump on Friday called allegations of Russian election meddling a "hoax", and insisted the media was the "greatest influence" on the 2016 campaign. "Scanning from outside entities is commonplace and happens every day, which is why I continue to believe the most serious challenge to the integrity of our election system is the threat of outside forces, including foreign governments, who seek to disrupt and undermine our elections".

Federal investigators and a Senate committee are looking into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.

Washington state was not hit in that effort, which involved a private corporation that provided election services for some states, the Secretary of State's Office has said. After his win, Trump created a commission headed by Vice President Mike Pence to investigate voter fraud nationwide.
