Meghan McCain has officially signed on to join ABC's "The View" as a regular cohost just a few days after she departed Fox News.

According to Variety, she'll replace Jedidiah Bila, who announced that she was leaving "The View" earlier this month, prompting some to wonder if her sudden departure had anything to do with her being too hard on Hillary Clinton when she appeared on the show to promote her new book "What Happened".

"The View" has had its fair share of lineup changes over the years. Prior, she hosted a series, "TakePart Live", on the now-defunct Pivot network, and she was also a contributor to MSNBC and The Daily Beast.
