Posted October 15, 2017

The iconic blue Wagon R once used by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, which was stolen from outside the Delhi Secretariat, has been found in Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad. The auto once used by the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal is now the property of Vandana Singh, AAP Youth Leader.

The auto had been earlier stolen on October 12 from outside of Delhi Secretariat.

"We have verified it after checking the car's engine chassis number". Police officers in Gautam Buddh Nagar and Gurgaon and Faridabad have also been told to share inputs if any such vehicle was found parked in their jurisdictions, the officer said.

Kejriwal had on Friday urged Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal to strengthen law and order in the city.

"A Delhi numbered Blue wagon R has been recovered from Mohan Nagar in PS Sahibabad".

Special Delhi police teams were sent to Noida, Ghaziabad, Mathura and Meerut, he said. He said though his auto being stolen was a small matter, the fact that the Chief Minister's vehicle could be stolen from right outside the Secretariat pointed towards the worsening law and order condition. "But the fact that it went missing outside the Delhi Secretariat reflects the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi".

The humble blue hatchback became synonymous with Kejriwal's "aam aadmi" image, after it was donated to Kejriwal by Kundan Sharma, a software engineer, in January 2013.

It was learned that Delhi Police had received CCTV footage of the incident in which it was reported that the accused is visible in the footage. These days, it was being used by a functionary of the AAP's media cell.
