Patriots Hold Off Chargers 21-13 for 4th Straight Win

Posted October 30, 2017

What it means: The Chargers had won three straight coming into this game, but they dropped to 3-5 heading into their bye week. Los Angeles running back Melvin Gordon ripped off the longest run of his career, an 87-yard burst up the right sideline, to put give the Chargers an early lead. The Patriots then played keep away for the rest of the first half while forcing negative game script or the Chargers in the second half, which capped Gordon's use for the rest of the afternoon.

That all changed in the second frame, a quarter in which the Patriots scored 15 points. But Brady also may have lost a valuable piece during the fourth quarter, when wide receiver Chris Hogan (five catches, 60 yards) went down with what appeared to be a shoulder injury.

Against the Patriots on Sunday, Benjamin pulled off what might just be the worst punt return in National Football League history. The Patriots were able to tackle him in the end zone for a safety. Left with just 1:08 and no time outs, Rivers led his team all the way down to the Patriots' 23-yard line.

Nintendo Switch Works With GameCube Controllers
To this day, the GameCube controller is often cited by most Smash players as being the best way to play a game within the series. In our newest video we give 1 vs. 1 (COM), 1 vs. 1 and 2 vs. 2 a try while juggling a few GameCube controllers .

This is the third time that Gostkowski has missed two field goals in a game, and the first time it has happened since 2012. Does the possible absence of Hogan mean the Patriots might dip into the possibility of trading for disgruntled Pittsburgh wide receiver Martavias Bryan before Tuesday's deadline?

The Chargers final drive would end when Rivers would throw an interception to Jonathan Jones to end the game.
