“We’re definitely playing at the Butler Bowl this weekend,” Butler athletic director John Parry declared in an interview on Thursday. And so the matter was settled. Butler University’s football team would be playing their first game at the renovated Butler Bowl on Saturday, Oct. 1 against Morehead State University.

The feeling of power can be a very heady emotion. Once a person has some, they have the tendency to want more and more. However, in the quest for more and more power, something has to give. There is no way to continue building up power in this country without money, or perhaps even without breaking the law.

It was all about the Morehead St. rushing game Saturday. The Eagles used 12 different runners to accumulate 338 yards and six touchdowns on the ground and effectively spoil the Bulldog’s home opener at the newly remodeled Butler Bowl.
