Monday, November 7, 2005, 21:31 EST
Former President William Jefferson Clinton walked onto the stage to the applause of about 9,600 anxious audience members. Clinton's speech continued the activities planned for Butler's sesquicentennial celebration and was co-sponsored by the Celebration of Diversity Lecture Series.

"Calm down, you'll have me thinking I'm president again," Clinton said. "You keep that up, you're gonna lose your reputation as a red state."
