Award-winning writer and composer James McBride will provide the keynote address at the 2006 commencement ceremony, to be held on Saturday, May 13. The selection of Mr. McBride was the result of nominations from the senior class and upon the recommendation of the Butler faculty.

This will be Mr. McBride’s second visit to Butler.

The Bulldogs celebrated the start of the holiday season Wednesday night as they lit up Hinkle Fieldhouse and sent the Tulane Green Wave home feeling slightly blue. However, Butler’s 21 point win over Tulane, 82-61, wasn’t the only thing to be celebrated. Bruce Horan’s third three pointer, coming in the second half of the game, was the 218th of his career which broke the all-time Butler record of 217 set by former teammate Darnell Archey.
