Herman Filice, an adjunct English professor, has been released by Butler after being charged with attempted rape and other charges. Filice, 35, who has been teaching three freshman English courses this semester, faces two counts of attempted rape and four counts of criminal deviate conduct.

Butler set out looking for their first road win in conference play this year but after two disappointing losses they are still looking. The Bulldogs traveled to Chicago last Thursday to take on the Ramblers of Loyola and then to Ohio for a game against Youngstown State at the Beeghly Center on Saturday.
