Butler University President Bobby Fong made a special appearance at the latest Veritas meeting to talk about issues of faith on campus. The idea for his talk, entitled “Finding God at Butler: a Personal and Institutional History,” was inspired by Kelly Monroe’s book "Finding God at Harvard," and Fong recalled his past experiences at Harvard during the early '70s, comparing them to issues at Butler today.

The top story in last Tuesday’s Indianapolis Star is about a proposal in the Indiana State Assembly that legislates what is allowed to be placed in public school vending machines during the school day. According to The Star, the idea behind this proposal is to counter childhood obesity.
