McCauley, professor of philosophy at Atlanta’s Emory University, spoke last Thursday night as part of the Woods Lecture series. Given the complexity of his subject matter, the daunting title of his speech, “Comparing the Cognitive Foundations of Science and Religion: The Naturalness of Religion and Unnaturalness of Science,” seemed appropriate.
