Robert N. McCauley, professor of philosophy at Atlanta’s Emory University, spoke last Thursday night as part of the Woods Lecture series. Given the complexity of his subject matter, the daunting title of his speech, “Comparing the Cognitive Foundations of Science and Religion: The Naturalness of Religion and Unnaturalness of Science,” seemed appropriate.

It is official. I can’t wait until Wednesday, Nov. 8. And why should someone who enjoys the political game as much as I do be looking forward to elections being over? The main reason for such anticipation is that I cannot bear to watch another negative political attack ad on television. Especially the Baron Hill and Mike Sodrel ads - they are on almost every time a television show goes to commercial.

Butler’s volleyball got another victory over the weekend knocking off Horizon League for Youngstown State on the road Friday by a score of 3-1.
