Throughout the NIT Season Tip-Off, the media kept referring to the Butler Bulldogs as the underdogs of the tournament despite their talent and Butler’s rich basketball tradition.

“I mean, it was implied that we had no ranking and that we were a small school but as a team, we just wanted to go out and play our basketball and see what could happen,” A.J. Graves said.

And the way the Bulldogs have been playing have made them underdogs no more.
