Butler University President Dr. Bobby Fong announced at the end of last week that the men's lacrosse team will be terminated. Butler is also losing its men's swim team program.

Life has changed drastically for the members of Butler University’s men’s lacrosse and swimming teams. In one fell swoop, 45 student-athletes lost their teams.
“Guys' hopes and dreams were just crushed,” Stan Ross, men’s head lacrosse coach, said.

The first amendment guarentees the citizen's of the United States have the right to freedom of religion. President Bush has the freedom to say that many of his decisions have been by his relationship with God. But could this be misleading to the Middle East? Have our liberties incurred the idea that our war on terror maybe viewed as a war on Islam?

The threes weren’t falling for the Bulldogs Saturday afternoon. And that was just fine. A.J. Graves scored 20 points despite hitting just 2 of 8 from behind the arc and Mike Green contributed 14 points to go along with nine rebounds on the way to Butler’s 20th straight home win.

In 2005, 7.2 percent of the 3,801 undergraduate population at Butler University was minority. Of this percentage, 3.1 percent was African American.
