Snowmen and sledding tracks covered Butler's campus Tuesday afternoon, as students rejoiced at the University's decision to cancel classes. With winter storm advisories taking over our television sets, several inches of snow and ice on the ground and freezing rain falling heavily, the Butler University Police Department encourages everyone to play it safe this week.
"It's nasty out there," Andy Ryan, Butler's Assistant Police Chief, who has been with Butler for 15 years, said. "Students should not go out on the roads unless it is absolutely necessary. We want to give the plows a chance to make their way through."
