Art in Indianapolis is alive and thriving. Although a number of galleries and studios are scattered about Indianapolis, the best place to be is in Fountain Square, especially anywhere inside the Murphy Art Center. They have five galleries, 23 studios, Dolphin papers and art supplies, Vicoli’s Italian Restaurant, and one gallery even doubles as a hair salon. They open their doors on the first Friday of every month.
