Cho Seung-Hui, a Virginia Tech senior and undergraduate English major, killed 33 people, including himself at his campus on April 16. Thirty of the victims were shot in the academic building, Norris Hall, while the remaining two were shot in West Ambler Johnston Hall dormitory. The casualty list included students and professors.

Monday, April 16, Virginia Tech was turned from a college campus to a massacre through acts of gun violence. There were 32 victims making Virginia Tech the site of the largest mass murder in American history. A week later news has unfolded on the how’s and why’s of this tragedy, names of victims have been released, and a memorial service has been planned for Monday, April 23.
